Dawal started painting the streets of Paris around 18. His thing is working with what the city already gives him — peeling plaster, cracked walls, odd shapes in aging surfaces — and placing miniature surreal scenes inside them. Images that stop you mid-pavement. He runs an open studio in the 18th arrondissement and has had solo shows at Galerie Artistik Rezo, where the same instinct moves from wall to canvas without losing its intimacy.
Dawal is a French artist known for his intricate illustrations that blend urban landscapes with surreal dreamscapes. Originally trained as an engineer, Dawal shifted from keyboards to pencils, drawing inspiration from hip-hop culture and his years of experience in urban painting across the globe.
