“Dawal started painting the streets of Paris around 18. (@_dawal)”
Dawal started painting the streets of Paris around 18. His thing is working with what the city already gives him — peeling plaster, cracked walls, odd shapes in aging surfaces — and placing miniature surreal scenes inside them. Images that stop you mid-pavement. He runs an open studio in the 18th arrondissement and has had solo shows at Galerie Artistik Rezo, where the same instinct moves from wall to canvas without losing its intimacy.
Web research (verify): Self-taught French street artist based in Paris; born 1994. Began painting in streets around 18–19, influenced by hip-hop, moving from lettering toward character-driven work (Posca interview). Open studio at Shakirail, Paris 18e, since Oct 2023. Practice includes murals, canvas, drawing, sculpture; transforms wall imperfections into miniature dreamlike scenes (Creapills and other press).
Batch 5: Confirm opening dates for Rêve Lucide (2026) on Galerie Artistik Rezo channels before publishing seasonal shop copy.
