Jérôme Masi

Jérôme Masi studied at Emile-Cohl in Lyon, worked through game studios and motion design, and eventually landed in Annecy as a full-time illustrator. His commercial work goes to airlines, watch brands, and telecoms; his personal paintings go on canvas with acrylic and quiet. The palette stays deliberately sober. He talks about wanting to leave room in each image for the viewer to bring their own memory to it, which sounds modest until you actually spend time with one.

@Jérôme Masi lives and works in Annecy. His practice is rooted in a search for balance, interiority, and essential form. Drawing from a language of minimal shapes and reduced color palettes, he creates quiet yet powerful images that invite personal interpretation rather than fixed meaning. Influenced by design, modernist architecture, poster art from the 1960s and 1970s, and urban culture, Masi’s work moves fluidly between illustration and contemporary painting. Today, his primary source of inspiration is everyday life itself - where the principles of minimalism guide both his creative process and his way of living. Through restraint and precision, his work offers a sense of calm, comfort, and emotional equilibrium.
