Loreta Isac

Loreta Isac grew up in Iași, studied art there, and moved to Bucharest. She describes herself as "once upon a dreamer," which captures the tone of the work exactly. Her illustrations and animations move between editorial commissions for the New York Times and Washington Post and quieter personal pieces — frozen moments, unnamed feelings, figures caught mid-thought. She uses motion as just another way to let the drawing breathe.
